The Circle of Gratitude: Part Two – Opening to Gratitude

This is the second Part of The Circle of Gratitude Story series. Be sure to check out the Whole overview and introduction here. Full archives at the bottom of the post.

The Circle of Gratitude is a platform for people to create gift relationships within a community of individuals desiring to support each other.

The Circle of Gratitude is a dream that has been evolving over the last while and one in which I desire to co-create with others. I presented the above sentence in the first post of the series, along with a breakdown of each key word related to the story. In these subsequent posts I will expand further upon each word with the intention of creating greater clarity within myself and others. Enjoy the story!

Part Two: Opening to Gratitude

Gratitude

Gratitude – The feeling of having received a gift and the desire to give in return. We see someone being swell and we think, “Hey, if they can be that swell then I can too!”. Gratitude arises when a gift fills a need and is a foundational feeling to a mutually supportive relationship. When we receive help during a time of need we are inspired to give back when others are also in need. This is gratefulness.

Verse 1

We join a tribe on a world in another timespace,

who is collectively remembering there is nothing to chase.

Can they give each other grace, to efface, their illusory hiding place?

And inspire the populace into the circles of embrace?

Verse 2

The trials and tribulations on this world so near and so afar,

brought out the deepest generosities within each and every avatar.

For the balm on the scar, at first so bizarre, became evar-so-popular.

And the eye of gifting opened All to the circular.

Verse 3

What is this feeling that inspires such a giving quest?

Witnessing giving and receiving causes it to burst from their chest.

Superabundantly blessed, they need not convince the rest, of their new-found zest.

And with the attitude of gratitude the tribe was no longer over-stressed.

Verse 4

The experience of gratefulness withstands the sands of time,

It’s a wonderful prescription! Goes best with a coconut and a lime.

With a simple rhyme, they turned all the grime, into a ladder to climb.

And together they rode on into the thankful paradigm!

I look forward to connecting with you if you see/hear/feel yourself in this story. Follow the breadcrumbs. Thank you for your support/shares/feedback/monitude along this journey.  ::)
